The proposed home is situated in Elaleni Estate.
The design lends itself to an open plan living area with a strong link between the verandah and the outdoor living spaces. High internal spaces with glazed elements enhance this connection with nature and assist with the cooling of these spaces with the climate zone it's located. Landscaped courtyards allow sunlight to filter into the bedrooms.
Sustainable materials, water harvesting and solar panels were used in the design. Solar shading is provided by the covered verandah and timber screening.
