Simbithi Eco Estate 8
House Modisi is situated within Simbithi Eco Estate.
The design is a bespoke residential house within the guidelines of the estate. The design is a contemporary take on the traditional Natal Verandah style house and focuses on family living. It lends itself to an open plan living area with a strong link between the verandah and the forest views. High internal spaces enhance this connection with nature.
Sustainable materials, water harvesting and solar panels were used in the design. Solar shading is provided by the covered verandah, cantilevered slabs and large roof overhangs.
